Online Varicose Vein Consultation with LEDAS

Quick answer: An online consultation lets you describe your leg symptoms, share photos and any earlier scans, and ask questions before you travel to Busan. A LEDAS coordinator replies, passes your information to the doctor, explains your options and helps plan your ultrasound and treatment dates. Diagnosis is confirmed only by an in-person duplex ultrasound.

What is an online varicose vein consultation?

It is the first step for patients who live far from Busan. You tell us about your legs in writing, with photos and any reports, and the LEDAS International Healthcare Center reviews it with the doctor. You get answers to your questions, a sense of what treatment might involve, and help planning a visit.

An online consultation cannot diagnose varicose veins. The real cause, venous reflux, is invisible from the outside and can only be mapped with a duplex ultrasound. Two legs that look similar in photos can need very different treatment. That is why LEDAS confirms your plan and gives an exact quote only after the scan in Busan.

What should I include in my request?

The more complete your information, the more useful the reply. Please include:

  1. Your symptoms: aching, heaviness, swelling, night cramps, itching, skin color changes, and how long you have had them. The self-check checklist can help you describe them.
  2. Which leg or legs are affected.
  3. Clear photos of both legs, front and back, taken standing in good light.
  4. Earlier treatment for veins, including stripping surgery, laser or injections, and when.
  5. Existing reports , such as ultrasound results, if you have them.
  6. Medical history: blood clots, heart or lung disease, diabetes, pregnancy, and medicines, especially blood thinners.
  7. Your country, preferred language and possible travel dates.

What happens after I send it?

  1. A coordinator confirms receipt and may ask follow-up questions.
  2. Your information is shared with the doctor.
  3. You receive an explanation of what LEDAS can offer, what the first visit involves and the general price guide: 180,000 KRW for the first visit, with treatment averaging about 5,500,000 KRW per leg depending on stage.
  4. If you decide to come, the coordinator helps you plan dates, accommodation, flights and pick-up , and explains visa basics.

How is my personal information handled?

LEDAS collects essential details such as your name, sex, date of birth, address, phone number and email to respond and book appointments. Symptom information collected for booking is destroyed after the appointment is made; without it, booking is not possible. Optional contact details, such as social media, can be declined without affecting service. Read patient rights and privacy .

Is online consultation the same as telemedicine?

No. It is a pre-visit consultation to share information and plan your care. It does not replace an examination, and LEDAS does not prescribe treatment based on photos alone. If you prefer to talk to someone in your own country first, you can use one of our remote consultation centers .

When should I not wait for an online reply?

An online consultation is not for urgent problems. If you have sudden swelling, pain and warmth in one leg, bleeding from a varicose vein, chest pain or shortness of breath, go to your nearest emergency department or call emergency services immediately. See deep vein thrombosis .
