Where is the LEDAS clinic?
LEDAS is on the 12th floor of the Yeonggwang Book building at 10 Seomyeonmunhwa-ro, Busanjin-gu, in Seomyeon — Busan's busy city-center district and home to Seomyeon Medical Street . It is about a minute's walk (around 50 m) from Exit 9 of Seomyeon Station, where subway Lines 1 and 2 meet. Parking is available nearby; see directions, subway and parking .
How is the outpatient center designed?
The interior was planned around what vein patients actually need. A few design choices make a real difference on your visit:
Separate waiting and treatment zones
The waiting area is kept apart from treatment rooms. This keeps the clinical areas calm and clean, and gives you privacy while you wait.
Short distances for staff
Nursing stations and treatment rooms are placed close together, so nurses can respond quickly and keep an eye on patients during preparation and recovery.
Leg-friendly seating
People with venous disease often feel worse when their legs hang down for long periods. The waiting area includes stools so you can raise and rest your legs.
Changing rooms built for leg treatment
Changing rooms have shoe sterilizers and sinks for washing your feet, so you can be clean and comfortable before a procedure on your legs.
Why does LEDAS scan legs while you stand?
Leaking (refluxing) vein valves show up best when gravity pulls blood downward — that is, when you are standing. Lying down can hide reflux. LEDAS designed its own examination table for standing-position duplex ultrasound so that you can be scanned safely and steadily on your feet. Combined with four Philips EPIQ Elite ultrasound units, this helps map every leaking vein before treatment. Read about the duplex ultrasound exam .
How does the facility support safety and hygiene?
- Air filtration and “Virus Killer” air sterilizers run 24 hours a day.
- The premises are professionally disinfected as a CESCO member.
- An AED, backup power supply (UPS) and fire equipment are in place, and staff are trained to use them.
- CCTV covers the treatment room and operating theatre.
These measures are part of a six-stage infection control system. See patient safety and infection control .
What happens after treatment in the facility?
Walking soon after vein treatment helps blood keep moving in the deep veins. LEDAS built a dedicated walking route, called “LEDAS Road”, where you walk under nurse supervision before you go home. There is also a patient lounge with a mini-bar offering water, coffee, tea and juice. Most patients leave the same day. Learn more about same-day discharge .
Is there an area for international patients?
Yes. The LEDAS International Healthcare Center is part of the clinic and is where coordinators meet patients from abroad, explain forms and interpret during consultations. See our International Patient Center .

Clinic facility – frequently asked questions
Is the LEDAS clinic easy to reach by subway?
Yes. Take Busan subway Line 1 or Line 2 to Seomyeon Station and leave by Exit 9. The clinic is about 50 m straight ahead, on the 12th floor of the Yeonggwang Book building. Many bus routes also stop nearby at the Lotte Hotel and Seomyeon Station stop.
Do I need to stay overnight at the clinic?
Usually not. Treatment is done under local anesthesia and most patients are discharged the same day after a supervised walk. You rest in a clinic ward during your day of treatment. Plan your own accommodation in Busan; coordinators can help you book a hotel.
Is there parking at the clinic?
Yes, at partner lots nearby: the Moonhwa parking lot across the road, the Bucheon parking lot inside Somin Art Center, and an overflow lot across the street. Collect a parking ticket at reception after treatment. Public transport is often easier in central Seomyeon.
Is the clinic accessible for older patients?
The clinic is on one floor reached by elevator, with a public restroom next to the elevator and leg-rest seating in the waiting area. Let your coordinator know in advance about any mobility needs so staff can plan assistance on the day.
